The Missouri Council of School Directors (MCSA) is the umbrella group for 2 autonomous statewide skilled associations of public faculty administrators. The Missouri Affiliation of College Directors (MASA) serves school superintendents. Dr. Terry Adams, Superintendent of the Wentzville R-IV School District, has been named the Missouri Superintendent of the 12 months by the Missouri Affiliation of College Administrators (MASA). The announcement of the award was made during the Missouri Faculty Boards' Affiliation and MASA joint fall conference held at Tan-Tar-A Resort October 1.
As the winner of this award, Adams obtained an award acknowledging his selection; a $500 scholarship for a scholar within the Wentzville Faculty District and a commemorative ring. The award is sponsored by the PFM Asset Management, LLC, which is the program administrator for the Missouri Securities Investment Program. As the recipient of this award, Adams will represent Missouri within the Nationwide Superintendent of the Year program carried out by the American Affiliation of College Administrators.
Adams has been employed by the Wentzville Faculty District as Superintendent of Schools since July, 2006. He has served beforehand as Superintendent of Faculties for the Rolla Public Faculty District, the Central R-III College District and the Arcadia Valley R-II Faculty District.
Underneath Adam's management, the district has labored to meet the divergent wants of long-time residents in addition to the massive number of newcomers to the district. The district has regularly engaged the neighborhood at school improvement efforts. On account of community feedback, the district has constructed new colleges and added on to existing colleges, applied full-day kindergarten, elevated using expertise throughout the district, improved school safety, and improve rigor to provide top quality 70-290 academic experiences for its students. Consequently, the district has received the Distinction in Efficiency Award from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Training in each of the past 4 years.
In recommending Adams for this award, Aaron Zalis, a former worker and now superintendent of the Rolla Faculty District described Adams as a visionary leader. "He has helped many college districts all through his career improve scholar efficiency, build financial stability, improve district services and enhance personnel performance. He has completed this in districts of various dimension which speaks to the transformational development that has occurred with his personal management," Zalis said.
Adams has been elected by his friends to signify Missouri on the Governing Board of the American Association of School Administrators. He was the Missouri Faculty Public Relations Affiliation Superintendent of the Yr in 2010. He has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Hospital Board and chairperson of the Wentzville Rotary Vocational Committee.70-290 Exam
